Sell crypto at your counter in Asia-Pacific

The Asia-Pacific region runs some of the largest remittance corridors and the deepest retail agent networks in the world — Philippine padala counters, Indonesian warungs and agent outlets, Vietnamese gold shops, Indian kirana stores acting as banking correspondents.

    The counter economy in Asia-Pacific

Remittance is the organising fact of retail finance across much of Asia-Pacific. Tens of millions of workers abroad send money home regularly, and the receiving end is almost always a counter — a pawnshop remittance centre, a small shop acting as an agent, a money changer on a market street.

That receiving infrastructure is exactly the network this model is built for, and stablecoin adoption across the region has grown fastest precisely along those corridors.

Anytime Capital's retail counter is live in the United States. International partner locations are onboarded market by market as local licensing allows, so the first conversation is always about what is possible where your store actually is.

    The local picture

What the counter is called in Asia-Pacific

The format has a different name in every market and does the same job in all of them. This is the version that applies here.

    Local terms for this counter

pawnshop remittance centre · sari-sari store · warung · money changer · kirana store · tiệm vàng · agen

    Store formats that fit

Remittance and pawnshop counters, neighbourhood shops, money changers, gold dealers, agent banking outlets, convenience stores.

    Corridors that drive demand

United States, Gulf states, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Australia — where the money moves, and why stablecoins matter at this counter.

    Languages at the counter

Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, Hindi, English. Serving a customer in their own language is the single biggest advantage a counter has over an app.

    The arithmetic

What a single transaction is worth to the store

You keep a share of every order. Bigger order, bigger share. The examples below use 1% to 3% — your own rate is in your agreement.

Illustrative store revenue by order size at a 1% to 3% revenue share
At the counterOrder sizeStore keeps (low)Store keeps (high)
A customer cashes a check and puts part of it into Bitcoin$200$2.00$6.00
A regular buys USDT to send to family overseas$500$5.00$15.00
A customer sells crypto and takes the cash$1,000$10.00$30.00
A small business owner buys on payday, every other week$2,500$25.00$75.00
One larger order, the kind an ATM's daily cap refuses$10,000$100.00$300.00

The figures above are worked examples, not projected or guaranteed earnings. They show how the arithmetic works on a given order size at an illustrative revenue-share range. Your actual rate is set in your agent agreement, and what any individual store earns depends on its foot traffic, its neighbourhood, its hours and how many customers it serves. Anytime Capital does not promise any level of income.

    • A money order earns you cents. A wire earns a flat fee, however big it is. This does not.
    • No monthly fee. No minimum. Nothing to buy back before the first dollar is yours.
    • Your customer pays our normal published price. Your share does not change it.

    Corridors, not speculation

The Philippines is the clearest example: a country whose economy runs substantially on money sent home by workers abroad, with a retail remittance network of pawnshop counters and neighbourhood agents that reaches almost every barangay.

Indonesia's agent banking network and its warung economy perform a similar function, as do India's kirana stores and business correspondent outlets in areas underserved by branches.

In each case the customer is not trading crypto. They are receiving or sending money, and a dollar stablecoin is simply the faster, cheaper way to do it.

    Where the rules stand

Frameworks across the region range from established virtual asset licensing to regimes still being written, and several markets restrict crypto as a means of payment while permitting trading. Availability is determined market by market.

Anytime Capital's retail counter is live in the United States. International partner locations are onboarded market by market as local licensing allows, so the first conversation is always about what is possible where your store actually is.

Anytime Capital is a registered US money services business and operates its own branches in Atlanta and Miami. The retail program extends that same platform to partner counters — which is why availability follows licensing rather than ambition, and why the first conversation about any international market is a straight one.

What a partner counter actually does

An employee signs in to the retail platform in a browser, runs a one-to-two minute identity verification for a first-time customer, places the order at a live price and takes the payment at the counter. Returning customers skip the verification entirely.

The store never holds cryptocurrency, never controls a private key and never funds a float. There is no equipment to buy, lease or install.

The customer receives the asset to a wallet they control, with the delivery recorded on a public blockchain — which is a stronger receipt than most counter products anywhere in the world can offer.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is this mainly a remittance product in Asia?

In most of the region, yes. Corridor-driven stablecoin use is the dominant retail case, which is why the counter formats that already handle remittance are the natural partners.

Do gold shops and pawnshops really fit?

They are among the closest fits anywhere. Both already value assets, verify customers and move cash across a counter, and in several Asian markets they are the established remittance and exchange format.

Is the program available in my country today?

Anytime Capital's retail counter is live in the United States. International partner locations are onboarded market by market as local licensing allows, so the first conversation is always about what is possible where your store actually is. We will tell you plainly what is and is not possible where you are rather than taking you through an onboarding that cannot finish.

Does my store need its own licence?

In the United States, a store acting as a serving location does not need its own money services business registration — Anytime Capital holds it. Outside the United States the answer depends entirely on the local regime, which is why availability is assessed market by market.

What does the store actually do?

An employee signs in, verifies the customer once, places the order and takes the payment at the counter. There is no machine to install, no crypto for the store to hold and no float to fund.
